Welcome to The Bandstand Project!
The Bandstand Project started in 2024 and is a work in progress. It aims to document and archive the sounds of empty bandstands from around the world.
Every entry in The Bandstand Project includes a description, photographs, map, and audio recordings, all of which are tagged and searchable. The bandstands are recorded using a variety of techniques and equipment with the intention of creating pieces of music or sound that capture the bandstands’ character, history, and use.
